This golden pheasant female and various dove species from around the world that have been living in a large cage in the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in Pretoria, for the past 12 years, will have a new home by the end of the week. Due to planned expansion of the shopping center, the birds are no longer housed here. The Garden Country Nursery in Vereeniging will now take care of the 12 birds, of which the oldest is almost 13 years of age. The bird cage was fitted in 2000.
