Voëlgriep wat uitgebreek het op ‘n plaas buite Nafferton, Oos-Yorkshire, is van die H5N8-stam wat ook in Nederland en Duitsland uitgebreek het, die Britse gesondheidsowerheid meen egter dat die geval nie tot gevolg kan hê dat mense die siekte deur kos kan opdoen nie.

The Avian flu outbreak that occurred on a farm near Nafferton, East Yorkshire, was confirmed to be a H5N8 strain that also occurred in the Netherlands and Germany, the British health authority declared that this case cannot lead to illness in people by consuming food.
