‘n 16 maande oue hiëna wat in ‘n strik gevang is, was besig om sy eie poot af te kou en het verskeie van sy tande teen die draad gebreek voor hy van die strik gered is en na dr. Hein Muller geneem is vir behandeling van sy wonde.

A 16 month old hyena caught in a snare, nearly chewed off his own leg and broke many of his teeth on the wire before he was rescued from the snare and taken to dr. Hein Muller who treated the traumatised animal.

15 Suid-Afrikaners het in Julie twee weke lank verder as 3 000 km deur Botswana se ongerepte natuur gereis in 4×4’s, daktente en boswoonwaens, hulle het luiperds, renosters en hiënas (onder andere) raakgeloop.

15 South Africans traveled more than 3 000 km through Botswana’s unspoiled wilderness in 4×4’s, rooftop tents and off road camping trailers, they met leopards, rhino and even hyenas to name but a few.

Kaapse toeriste het ‘n beseerde renoster kalfie in die Krugerwildtuin te hulp gesnel nadat, sy deur ‘n trop hiënas aangeval is, die kalfie sterk tans by die Careforwild-rehabilitasiesentrum vir renosters, buite Nelspruit, aan.

Tourist from the Cape saved an injured rhino calf after she had been attacked by hyenas in the Kruger National Park, the calf is recovering at the Careforwild rehabilitation centre for rhino’s just outside of Nelspruit.
